Back to Minnesota for a Wedding

Sorry guys, I've been pulling all nighters getting ready to put up a new business website. Not done yet however.

Then we've been doing a lot of running around getting the gang ready for school this next week. ALL of our pumpkins will be in school for the full day! We'll miss them, BUT we will sure be able to get a lot more done around the house.

Oh yeah, THE WEDDING... My oldest son, Ben and I made the trip alone. Robin stayed home and went crazy with the children.

The lovely bride is my sister's daughter, Deanne (you can see that see gets her looks from my side). Her soon to be husband, Tony.

This is me and my sister Sherri...

My sister-in-law said she had better not see any pictures of her, this is one of her daughter Shannon. Not sure who the other lady is (wink, wink). The other picture here is of my other cute little niece, Maria.

Then there was this young man I kept running into. He was always texting. I never really got a good look at his face because he was always looking down. But, I'd swear he looks a lot like my eldest son, Ben.

I gave my Mom one of our AutismBites t-shirts. Mom has always been one to tell you like it is, this shirt definitely reflects that.

The main reason we went was for Ben to finally meet his Grandmother 'in the flesh'. The wedding gave us a good excuse to make the four day there and back driving worth it.

Wow, a four day drive with 6 kids! Sounds like you and Robin are gluttons for punishment ;)

Hope you get a little time to recover. Heh, what's that when you have multiple SN kids, right? *wink*

Shanna,
I updated the story to mention that just my son and I made the trip. Six ASD children in the car for 4 days? We'd have to be out of our minds! ; ) What's an SN child? I haven't heard that one yet. ~ Dad

I felt sorry for Robin, until my husband pointed out that being left home with 5 autistic children beats bringing 6 to a wedding :)

Belly,

She was home with ALL six, and it wasn't easy. My oldest, Ben, is 25 and from my first marriage and has no form of ASD.

Robin is the best!

SN=Special Needs

I say SN because I actually have one with seizure disorders and dev delay. The other two have an ASD.

I was wondering!! I thought, wow! You guys must have a secret I don't know about, like strapping them to the luggage racks or something ;)

Mark and I go crazy when we take the kids out for the day. We just got home from taking them to the Festival of Sail, San Diego. So we are spent!
