Bringing in the New Year with the Kirton's

I signed up to be notified whenever our latest showing of 'Autism x 6' is going to be on the Discovery Health channel. Yesterday I was doing some Autistic surfing and went to their website.

The program will be on tomorrow night, December 31st at 8pm and 11pm, Eastern time.

So if you like to hang around the house on New Years Eve or, like us, never go much of anywhere anyway. Watch us again or for the first time. I did post a video on YouTube with a January 2009 suprise from the Kirton family. Check it out.

I just watched the show. How in the world do you guys survive emotionally? God Bless all 8 of you in the new year. I would like to start a group with moms to help you guys. If everyone does a little, it will your family alot. What you need help with is the day to day chores so that you can enjoy each other and the children. The stress comes from overload! I have 2 children that are not effected by autism and some days I am on total overload with all the chores that come with children. You two must be exhausted. I wish I could spend my New Year's Eve making a quiet dinner for two for you guys. Let's start a "helping hand mom" group.

As a parent of two autistic boys, 7 & 4, I can appreciate your love and patience with those adorable children. How fortunate they are to have such loving parents. The show was absolutely touching and I saw many similaities between our children. Happy New Year

Hey Brenda,

Sounds fine to us, each day IS quite tiring. We do live in Utah so I'm sure the distance may be a problem. Write to us a autism_bites@yahoo.com

John & Robin bless your heart I have 1 son who has asperger or pdd-nos doctors dont know
every thing you said is true you hit a home run when you talked its hard when you have noone to care for your children to just get away for a few hours I have just got to ask Did any of the kids have a meltdown with the new crew or different setting? I ask because my son has a meltdowns at school when his teachers are out or someone is in the room that he doesn't know.
