Pampers Diapers: They Really Work Best For Us

A very nice lady, Andrea, sent us coupons for us to try some various Pampers products. We go through a LOT of diapers. Ask anyone who visits the house what's the first thing they see when the come to the door. The diaper trash container next to the steps. Which only takes two days to be completely overflowing. Anyway here are Mom's comments and experiences with the Pampers:

"We wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the free products we've been given. First, we were sent a box of night time diapers, or Pull Ups. We have bought them in the past, but since none of our autistic diaper wearing children, Sarah, 6, Ammon, 4, and Mary, 3, are potty training yet, they weren't something that worked out the best for us at this time. However, our 3 year old is higher functioning, and is getting closer to being potty trained. She lets us know when she messed up her pants right away. And, Mary loved the characters on them, Dora and Diego, so of course, we put them on her until they were gone because she happily insisted.

You recently sent us coupons for 3 free packages of any jumbo sized Pampers diapers and a free tub of wipes. I haven't opened up the tub to use it yet, but I will soon. I got the lavender scented ones. I also got 3 packages of size 6 Pampers Cruisers, and again, we've bought them in the past. So, we were especially excited to get more of the brand we love! Pampers Cruisers are our favorite. We really like how the side straps are so stretchy. And, the whole top is very roomy. It also smells really good, has a very sanitary smell to it, and it totally minimizes the odor when they urinate in it. The filling is also very absorbent, it's truly amazing how much it can hold! Sometimes they pee a lot at once, and other times, we get distracted and kind of forget to check for a few hours--we usually check about every two hours. But, for those times that we don't check their pants as often as usual, their clothes are usually still dry, as in, they usually haven't peed out of the diaper and onto their clothes.

We used to buy Huggies, but realized how much better Pampers is. I used to like Luvs, but the top hardly fit around their waists and their sticky taps didn't stretch either, argh! The cheap brands I've tried droop really bad when they pee, aren't absorbent, leak a lot, I have to put duct tape over the tabs to try and keep them in place, and the smell of their padding when mixed with the pee doesn't minimize the odor at all, yuck!

Yeah, Pampers is by far the best diapers out there! So thank you once again for extending such kindness to us. I like how you are the only company that has size 7 diapers too! Only certain stores carry them though, and I'm surprised Walmart doesn't. I go there the most often because of the prices, I would really like to see size 7 Pampers Cruisers at Walmart."

Yep, gotta love the Pampers! That's all we've ever bought for our kids, too. They work the best, especially for the boys.

No one takes poop more seriously than Robin! Speaking of poop, when I was at a bookstore, I found this book and I thought you would enjoy it: http://www.amazon.com/Whats-Your-Poo-Telling-You/dp/0811857824/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1201149004&sr=1-1

Just read your story in People. Firt of all, GOD BLESS YOU! I have an 11 year old son with autism and I can relate to some of what you say. There are days I could pull my hair out! There are other days I'm so proud I cry. Just last week we learned a new sound (now we can make the "F" sound - hooray!!!). Please keep your faith and your sense of humor. Know that there are lots of people out there who know what you are going through. If you're ever in Michigan, let me know - we can meet at a restaurant and have our kids take over the place!!!!

diapers can be covered by medicaid. Have you discussed this with your pediatrician. In some states they are delivered to your doorstep.

Yes, ask about Medicaid diapers. They'll cover them for kids over the age of 3 and the DO deliver. It's a blessing and has saved us a GREAT deal of money!! My daughter is almost 6 & not potty trained. They don't cover wipes but tehy will also send a "pad" that makes the diapers work overnight too.
They are curity brand diapers for us & they work great!

Would you consider cloth diapers? They save $$ and are great for the environment! Of course you all are *so* busy it might be too much trouble, but on this site you'll find great Work-at-home made diapers, toys, discussion boards, all sorts of great stuff! Just throwing it out there,

Diapers are covered in our state (PA) under medicaid for children 3 and over. You can pick which name brand diapers you want, we chose Pull-ups and pick them up at the pharmacy in our local CVS store. You will need a prescription from your doctor for them.

Why leave the over flowing crap bucket at the front door? Back door would work better unless you intend to scare off missionaries and other annoying door bangers.

In CA the county helps pay for diapers for children with disabilites. They also pay for 35 hours of ABA per week for children up 7 and other in-home services. I don't know about Utah's policies, but it might be worth looking into other states policies.

Hi..I am a single mom of 3. My 2 boys, ages 18 and 9 are autistic. My oldest son will be 18 within days, but last summer, he was beaten by a 31 yr old neighbor and our local arson investigator...who just so happens to be in his 50's. The police came after me. Why? My child is "strange," the 9 year old is still in diapers, well, pullups, nothing else fits him. SSI has cut benefits in half and wont help with diapers on insurance plus they say that I make too much money, so I owe THEM 14,000.00. I live only on child support, when and if it comes. No welfare. And, if I really want them, I can have 7 dollars a month in food stamps. I was just sued for a 1,600.00 balance left on an 8 thousand dollar credit card bill that I used to support and feed my kids through the divorce and no child support. It is neverending. I am so tired, I never get a break. Last week my 9 year old went completely nuts over a toy in the store...a woman looked at me and said, "can't you control your goddamned kid?" I rarely loose it, but after having my shit and bra ripped off..I said, "look you stupid bitch...he has autism...and your excuse would be?" Everything is broken in the house. They have put their heads through windows. I get a few hours a week of a pca...that's it. Welcome to Massachusetts!

Can't you get diapers via Medicaid? We can here in NY. It helps a lot, as my son still wears them at night at age 8...
